In Sparks of Hope is largely similar to that of Kingdom Battle. Despite this homage to one of the best Mario games, Sparks of Hope doesn’t feel quite as Mario-flavored as the previous game. with praise towards the game’s graphics, soundtrack, gameplay, and improvements to the battle system, though the loading times received some criticism. If this gives you Super Mario Galaxy vibes, just wait until Rabbid Rosalina shows up. The new story sends Mario, Luigi, and Peach (alongside their Rabbid counterparts) into space to deal with an intergalactic threat called Cursa who’s spreading harmful “Darkmess” puddles across peaceful planets. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was all about Rabbids invading Mario’s world, but Sparks of Hope opens with Rabbids already chilling inside the Mushroom Kingdom like it’s no big deal.
